On nomination by USJFCOM, a prestigious US Office of the Secretary of Defence (OSD) award was given to Mr John Teufert (NC3A), for his effort to deploy Common Ground geospatial analytical tools to the NATO forces in Afghanistan.
Mr Luc Barbeau from the NC3A Allied Command Transformation office accepted the award on behalf of John and the NC3A, during the ceremony, held at Ft Belvoir on 20 September 2011.
“
This is a great recognition of the Agency’s work. All of this has really been a team effort. A team of motivated and talented individuals from the US and the NC3A. Principal NC3A CG project team members include Mark Postal (PM), Gerhard Joos, Gernot Friedrich and Joel Veranda. They all deserve an equal share of this recognition
”, says John Teufert.
NC3A has been partnering with the US Army Geospatial Centre in the context of the CG Joint Capability Technology Demonstrator (JCTD) since 2008 and has been actively involved in various aspect of this complex project -including its transition into the hands of the war fighter.
Every year the US Office of the Secretary of Defence recognizes an outstanding performance in the field of JCTD.
The mission of JCTD is to find, demonstrate, transition, and transfer the best operational concepts and technology solutions for transformational, joint, and coalition warfare.
