NCSA Contract Policy - Serving NATO staff members will be issued a contract in accordance with the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations (NCPRs). New staff will be offered a one-year definite duration contract with the possibility of additional follow-on contracts of up to three years duration each. The policy for follow-on contracts is related to the function of the post and satisfactory performance of the incumbent. Follow-on contracts will normally be issued when the incumbent has performed satisfactorily and when applicable NCSA Leadership foresees a continued requirement for the function of the post. In accordance with the NCPRs, when a serving staff member has accumulated a total of ten years of service, an indefinite duration contract will be offered.
